About

Chicago Creative Machines was a 2024-25 lecture-performance series featuring artists who use machine learning and ML-adjacent tools and techniques in their creative practice. All events were free and open to the public. See the Events page to view archived video of all eight events.

Chicago Creative Machines took place at Experimental Sound Studio, Chicago, IL between February 25, 2024, and March 16, 2025. Series I featured Hugo Flores García, Hunter Brown, Julie Zhu, and X.A. Li. Series II featured Caitlyn Min-ji Au, Bryan Pardo, Patricia Alves-Oliveira, and free FluCoMa workshop by Ted Moore. Other CCM events have included Music and AI workshops at Chicago Public Libraries, Lake Forest Library, and Ann Arbor District Library and a data-for-artists workshop offered online.
